Damn…can we just ride together?
March 24th, 2011
sgmstaff Dear SGM…….
I am a member of a fairly large all-female club. We are 100% riders. We ride mostly with other male clubs and enjoy Sunday gatherings at several hot spots for bikers during riding season. The thing that I would like to point out is just because our club rides with any particular male club doesn’t not indicate that some of us must be sleeping around with them. It’s unfortunate that the bike world has such a disgruntle sexual reputation that when people hang around each other too much they automatically must be messing around. NOTE to some folks out there that just because you ride with anyone in particular doesn’t mean that you must be screwing them. Does it happen…..yes it does….but its ones personal business if they do. Men and women CAN be JUST friends without all that extra stuff. Hell we could get more folks riding together if some weren’t so busy trying to hook up or trying to figure who is hooking up.
Let’s just RIDE people!!!!!!
Georgia Local Bikers Protest Motorcycle-Only Checkpoints
March 24th, 2011
sgmstaff Motorcyclists from around the state, including a group from the Chattahoochee Valley, rode to the Capitol Wednesday to rev their engines against a federal grant the Georgia State Patrol is using to conduct motorcycle-only safety checkpoints.
“It’s unfair and there are a lot more things the money could be spent on,” said Ronald Foxworth, local district coordinator of the American Bikers Active Toward Education. “We just voiced our opinion.” Capitol Police estimated between 300 and 400 people attended the protest, which lasted about two hours and included 10 speakers.
